NCSOFT unveiled 5 new mobile games. SEOUL, Nov. 8–South Korean online gamer NCSoft Corp. On Thursday presented five new multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) for the mobile platform. Among the long-awaited lineup-"Line 2M", the sequel of the mega-hit mobile game "Lineage M", which should be launched in the first half of the 2019 year, said NCSOFT. "Lineage M", which has roots from "Lineage" for the mobile platform, has become the most popular app in both the Google Play store and Apple's APP store since its launch in June 2017 in several countries, including South Korea, Taiwan and Japan. "NCSOFT challenges the new capabilities of MMORPG in the mobile platform," creative director Kim Taek-Jin told reporters in Seoul. Kim is also the CEO. Kim also said that the Lineage 2M, which combines the technology and knowledge of NCSOFT gained over the past 20 years, will contain full 3d graphics. NCSOFT also unveiled the sequel to its mega-hit game "Aion", which is an adventure in the world over 900 years ago with dungeons and epic battles. "Blade & Soul 2", "Blade & Soul M" and "Blade & Soul S", all sequels of the flagship online game NCSOFT "Blade & Soul" will show new types of adventures, said NCSOFT, without going into details. "NCSOFT is trying to create a new world based on the rich history and characters of Blade & Soul," Kim said. NCSOFT then said it was preparing to work with Samsung Electronics Co. In matters related to the smartphone with a folding display, which is planned to be released at the beginning of the 2019 year. Previously, the South Korean technology giant outlined some of the characteristics of its long-awaited Infinity Flex Display technology, calling it the next big breakthrough. "NCSOFT is preparing to collaborate with Samsung Electronics on issues related to folding phones," said Lee Song-gu, managing director of NCSOFT. Lee didn't specify the details.
